Ar.Co.In. S.p.A. of Milano, Italy (Operations offices located in Pellestrina - Venezia) is a Ship Owning Company controlled by the De Poli family.

The family industrial activities started in the early 1800’s with constructions and repairs of wooden vessels. Over the years the boatyard grew into a modern and sophisticated shipyard: “Cantiere Navale De Poli”, which is specialized in building ships with high technological content such as Gas Carriers and Chemical tankers.

Ship owning started in 1994 with the delivery of the Chemical Tanker “laria D” built by the family yard. Since then, through choice Charterers and the support of various European Banks, the fleet has quickly grown. As the number of ships increased and market conditions changed, Arcoin developed its structure (Arcoin Group):
  • Incorporated a fully owned subsidiary in the Netherlands: “Arcoin Holding B.V.” for corporate as well as flagging / crewing opportunities for Dutch ship owners.
  • Contracted Operational and Technical Management of the Chemical Carrier fleet to “Maritime Performances BV” of Monaco a fifty/fifty partenrship between Arcoin and Maritime Perfomaces management.
  • Established fully owned “De Poli Tankers B.V.” in Rotterdam as the Commercial Managers for the Chemical Tankers, in order to acheive an more indipendednt approach to the Market.
  • Arranged a new LPG Pool Alliance with Anthony Veder Gas Carriers BV

Arcoin today is an intergrated ship owning group with an international and experienced structure and is well prepared to sail in the competitive worldwide shipping markets.
